My letter of 15 November |

I realize that the governor is busy and while not knowing the disposition of my previous letters and not having received a reply I suppose that it it still under review. If someone could give me an update I would be grateful. As the distance in time between the events I described increases it allows the persons responsible to distance themselves from accountability. As I stated in my letter the Attorney General is the most appropriate authority to investigate but I am also awaiting a reply to my last letter to his office. However as the case involves offenses that qualify as homicide (manslaughter) under Arkansas law I took the liberty of writing to the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division as it seems that the governor is responsible for that agency. Since the state medical board completely ignored proof of the doctor's misconduct (or I wrongly assume that malpractice resulting in disabling injury in my case and death in others qualifies as egregious misconduct) perhaps the governor could look into removing the members of the board responsible for this dereliction of duty. In the event my earlier letters are not readily available for some reason they and other documents related to this matter can be seen on the website containing material related to the Arkansas Continued Care Hospital - or I can provide copies. Despite the lack of interest by news organizations I occasionally send copies some of my communications to some of them. As my health continues to deteriorate communicating by mail consumes much of my remaining time and I don't have a lot left. I'm not doing this for just me - I'm doing it for past and future victims. I can be contacted by email at sklawrence@myndcryme.com

CC Jonesboro Sun KAIT TV KARK TV Arkansas Times PS: I don't know if anything will ever be done about this - about now I would guess maybe 50-50. Someone wants to be moderately famous (can't promise rich) I have the receipts and Perry Mason wouldn't presume to challenge them - but don't bet that the Arkansas authorities won't if ignoring them fails. |
