Ron Lerma
-Vocals
- bands: Monsters of Rock, Sator Square, Piece of Mind, Bulldozer, Teabag, Neon Knights
- influences: Ian Gillan, Geoff Tate, Bruce Dickenson, Ronnie James Dio
A four-octave vocalist, some say that Ron performs with a winner-take-all style, which tends to keep everyone’s attention, anxious to see what he may do or sing next; Whether it be to dodge and roll in vocal acrobatics or to engage in guile and stagecraft. All of those ingredients combine to create that perfect storm, designed for maximum audience enjoyment. And that is another of his loves; to see the audience enjoying the show.

In 1977, my first electric guitar was given to me as a birthday gift from my grandmother who was also a blues guitarist and singer. My grandmother played in blues bands and vaudeville shows from 1921 to 1947 throughout the mid-West and the San Diego area. My left-handed guitar-playing grandmother taught me to play guitar right-handed using mirrors and reverse chord charts.
Paul Alexander
-Guitar, backing vocals, effects
- influences: Alex Lifeson, Tony Iommi, Ritchie Blackmore
Paul is a Massachusetts native who relocated to southern California in 2004. He was classically trained in violin and piano as a youth, switching to guitar in his teens. After a period of fingerstyle folk/celtic experimentation, he transitioned to a heavier style, having been influenced by progressive rock and metal of the 70s and 80s. He has performed in various capacities in the U.S. and Mexico.
Jeff Sheets
-Bass, backing vocals, effects
- bands: HeadRUSH, Sator Square, Monsters of Rock, Hunter, FourNForce, Flying Tiger
- influences: Geddy Lee, Steve Harris, Geezer Butler, Eddie Jackson, Rudy Sarzo, Steve Howe
If I have to play root notes, I tend to go for lots of sustain and color. I don’t use a pick and I tend to go for power and precision rather than speed. I also break bass strings on occasion. Been playing bass since high school in the Detroit area. Have some touring experience in the midwest where I recorded two albums with a band in the Tucson Az area. I came to San Diego in the late 80s to raise a family, then co-founded Monsters of Rock with Gavin and Ron, later to play bass on my third album “Sator Square” with Ron and Blackie.
